I checked out the website before I went (they have locations in city’s all over the country), BUT honestly, I didn’t think I could really create a true masterpiece work of art!! LOL The idea is you bring a group of friends and your own wine..then paint, drink and be merry!!

Luckily we had a very patient master artist leading our class..he’s also a former Deco Producer..Eric! He asked if we had ever painted before, I thought about my childhood “paint by number” and water color sets….then I asked if murals/posters, etc.. for high school rallies count?? haha  I’m sure at some point I have painted even if it was an adolescent art class. Anyway, birthday girl Odette chose a moonlit ocean/palm tree scene, and step by step we each put paint on the canvass to make our own (re)creation!

This was really a fun way to hang out and feel artistic and use the other side of our brain…. :) We learned different brush strokes, how to make colors and I’m happy to say everyone was able to complete the task!!

I am proud to say that Irie was one of my first “Miami friends” before moving to Florida, and since that time his star has grown exponentially..and very well deserved! He is one of the hardest working people I know, but always stays humble, gracious and grounded…I can’t say enough.

All that being said, anytime I can support and attend one of his events, I do my best to be there! Well, last night he definitely outdid himself. He hosted the most lavish, decadent, holiday party on Miami Beach at a private residence and he pulled out all the stops with theme, decor and entertainment..in true MIA fashion! From elf-fitted servers to nutcrackers, Santa and a crew of “Ho, Ho, Ho’s”…there was snow, elaborate lighting, exotic cars, Stoli drinks flowing and of course the music to put you in the Holiday spirit..or just party mode!

I’m always amazed at the creativity people display for the occasion…I’m not super “spirited,” but I do appreciate those who go all out.

My sister Ade is a Halloween lover who takes it to another level…can you guess what her get up is??? She went the “edible” route… LOVES IT!!

So then I started thinking about past Halloween (work) experiences… In 2008, I visited a haunted house in Miami that seriously had me “spooked!!” I laugh now, looking back at the video, but that “startle” factor had me shook when I walked through the haunted house!!

And — in 2007 (my original Wonder Woman cameo) I hung out at O.J. McDuffie’s “Grand Ghoul” Halloween charity event in Florida, and interviewed Michael Irvin and some Miami Dolphins… :)

At any rate, for this episode I hosted from the Wynwood (art) District of Miami and it features Michael Jordan’s 10th Annual Celebrity Invitational in Las Vegas, my sit down interview with Minnesota Viking Bryant McKinnie and a close up with Sideline Distraction Katie of the Sacramento Kings Dance Team… and of course the SKDT is a little closer to my heart because well I used to dance for them – my first PRO dance team, AND next season they may be (in Sacto) NO MORE! :( Anyway, tune in, watch and enjoy!! I want all my friends to be friends… if I have one person over here who can help another person over here…well why not?? So, last year during my travels to Austin, TX, I got a chance to become even more familiar and acquainted with a talented photographer OG. He’s done lots of music and hip hop photo projects, even getting his work published in Jay-Z’s book Decoded. At any rate, I knew my good friend Anjelah would be traveling to TX for different stints at the comedy clubs there and I pitched the idea for him to document her work and shows as a comedienne, similar to how he does for (music) artists… Well, when Anj got on board it was a GO and the result is a beautiful series of images that give you a glimpse into a day in the life of Anjelah Johnson. I had been hearing about Malice (of the Clipse) and video blogs he had been doing…but I had yet to click on links that kept popping up on my twitter timeline. Well, yesterday I was eventually led to www.maliceoftheclipse.com and I was engaged to watch all of the videos on his site. Now, I have always been a fan of the Clipse and their music…but regardless, I really appreciate what he is saying in his vlogs and I think his voice can really speak to many people (especially those in hip hop culture), to provoke change and understanding. He has a book coming out on Valentine’s Day “Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind and Naked” …. I can’t wait to get my copy. Chris Brown is (finally) here!! One of the many hats I wear is as a manager to Young Money artist Jae Millz, so I shifted into PRODUCER mode to get this video done. It’s a really fun video, that I think is so refreshing in the music/rap/hIp hop game… The “Dead Presidents” (face-paint) theme is taken from thE movie and also Millz’ same name mixtape released over the summer where the Green Gobblin track first appeared. The song will now be the first single off his forth-coming debut album, “Nothing Is Promised,” slated to release next summer. Everything was pretty much shot on green screen with the exception of the opening (alley) scene. There are lots of fun visuals and it’s definitely a song you want to move to and this pairing works well with CB doing his dance thing and RAPPING, while Millz adds his Harlem-bred talent! Check it out, let me know what you think… Next stop is a red carpet awards show! ;) FOREVERMILLZ.COM
