Sister on “Display”

My very talented sister Adrienne of Ade will have her work on display during the “Global Lives Project” exhibition in San Francisco beginning next week. Adrienne has collaborated on the project by designing and contributing the exhibit’s environmental graphics! You can see her work by visiting Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco where the non-profit “Global Lives Project” will be on display February 26 through June 20, 2010. When in Rome…

I LOVED this movie! So cute, original and refreshing – a totally new approach to the ‘romantic comedy’ genre!! Kristen Bell plays the career-oriented single gal who’s had her heart broken too many times and is starting to give up on the idea of “LOVE.” Ladies..I know ya’ll feel me on that! Anyway, her “luck” takes an interesting turn when she goes to Rome for her sister’s wedding and the story unfolds from there. This film has humor, charm, wit and it’s just fun! It stays away from the typical and injects other true to life scenario’s and events, so you can’t help but to smile! 🙂 BTW, Josh Duhamel is looking very cute  as her love interest in the movie as well… But yes, WATCH THIS, it’s not just for the ladies!! The only thing I wasn’t too keen on is the film’s title…but I enjoyed it so much, they can call it what they want!

AND — while watching, I couldn’t help but reminisce about when I was in Rome 3 years ago with my sisters…

They LOVED me and the sisters in Rome…the pizza-makers surprised us with “special” heart-shaped pizzas! Ahhh, the memories…of LUV!!

Baby Sister

My baby sister Alison aka Bologna is getting her model on once again…

The Book of Eli

Excellent. I went into this screening, not knowing too much about the film, so I didn’t know what to expect other than the few clips I had seen on the TV trailer. First off, the cinematography is beautiful, very artistic and dramatic in it’s use of colors, or not really…the tones are muted out, no bright colors, and it really gives it this desolate, desert-like feel of dust and waste. Denzel Washington is smooth as ever with his character Eli – a cool, calm, collected man walking the wasteland of the “future” protecting “the book.” Gary Oldman plays Carnegie – bad guy, one of the few men left from “before (the war).” He is desperately seeking “the book,” as he believes it will be the key to rebuilding, but of course his intentions are self-serving.

Apparently there was some type of big war that pretty much ended life and society as we know it in present day, with all our materialism and excess…so, we’re transported to a time in future, where the very things we take for-granted everyday, are the “simple” luxuries people will fight over in the future, when our resources are gone! It’s extremely thought-provoking as well as insightful, and not beyond possible. The scenes do get pretty crazy at times, might make you cringe or make your eyes wide…you’ll think about faith, and wonder, “what would I do?”

Ninja Assassin

Watch my sit down interview with Rain, the star of Ninja Assassin! I met him during the movie’s Miami press stop and he is such a nice guy…he even made a comment about what a nice change of pace it is for him to be able to just walk around and not realyl be “recognized”…yet! Apparently he’s a huge international superstar, especially in his native Korea…and my friend Sang (who now lives in Korea) confirmed that, telling me he’s the most popular guy right now in all of Asia! As far as the movie goes, great special effects along with exciting action/fighting sequences!

Jae Millz DUB Photoshoot

Yesterday was a busy day for me and my (Young Money) artist  Jae Millz. After a couple weeks, of planning, styling, coordinating and hustle…we were under a Miami bridge for Millz DUB Magazine photoshoot. He LOVED the purple watch….

Thanks to The Collection for the beautiful 2010 Aston Martin DBS Volante, as well as the shoot stylist Brie of Abriel Style, and “photo shoot” expert Kimi from Pamper Me Pink, they both kept me sane with all the last minute adjustments. I also appreciate UPnUP for accepting my invite to shoot some behind the scenes action for us! You can see more pix from the shoot here http://upnup.blogspot.com/2009/10/jae-millz.html

….and he also put together a quick video of the Millz shoot.
