Foodie Call – Bay Area LIFE

I just did a couple “Foodie Call” segments for Bay Area LIFE on ABC7 in San Francisco. I love the lifestyle feel of both of them and of course, doing the segment and being “forced” to sample the food afterwards, isn’t bad either! haha!!

At any rate, I wanted to share the videos… The more recent segment I did was actually with a couple of my SJSU buddies who have started a gourmet, “handcrafted” Filipino lumpia business with The Lumpia Company, so on the segment below we featured their Bacon Cheeseburger Lumpia!

Previously the #FoodieCall segment I did was at Rocco’s Cafe in San Francisco where Chef Don Dial whipped up a very tasty Chicken Cacciatore.

This was a fun segment where we cooked in his restaurant’s kitchen and talked about the cooking lineage he comes from as well as what makes Rocco’s such a great place.

Look out for me on more of Bay Area LIFE every Sunday at 6:30pm on ABC7!

Buster Posey x Body Armor

I’m not a big baseball fan, but sometimes I do interview baseball players… Today I headed into San Francisco to interview World Series Champion of the San Francisco Giants Buster Posey, at a Body Armor Super Drink event being held at Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep, for Bay Area HQ. It was pretty fun as he surprised all the high school kids by popping up at their school for the event.

He talked about sports, being their age and how important it is to stay hydrated and think about nutrition at their age, as well as be physically active. In my interview with him, he was very nice and we reminisced a little about his high school days, who he may offer one of his famous “Buster Hugs” to — specifically which of his fellow Body Armor athletes like James Harden, Klay Thompson, Kobe Bryant, Rob Gronkowski, Richard Sherman, Andrew Luck, etc… and he also revealed he may want to do some acting!! πŸ™‚ Press play below to see my chat with Buster Posey.

Living that Bay Area LIFE

ulta1

I’ve hit the one month mark for being back home in the Bay Area and I’m officially living that “Bay Area LIFE!” There are so many more things I appreciate about this area after being on the East Coast for the last decade, and to now be able to be here with my kids, and put them in a similar environment to what I grew up in is amazing! And — making it even better is having the chance to freelance and continue working in TV on a show called, “Bay Area LIFE.” It is a weekly half hour lifestyle program produced and aired on ABC7 in San Francisco (it just started earlier this year)… and it fits right into my schedule. I’ll be making appearances as a backup host and reporter, so be sure to watch when it airs on Sundays at 6:30pm.

Homeward Bound

Today I made my last appearance on-air as Co-Host of The Hampton Roads Show, and I will be returning home to the Bay Area next week! It’s been lots of fun over the last 13 months on the show and I’ve had some exciting experiences and met lots of wonderful people, starting with the staff and crew on the show and at the station…as well as the chefs, comedians and range of guests who’ve stopped by the show too!

And — of course when you “leave” the next question is where are you going!?!? So, the short and simple answer is I’m leaving to be closer to family. I will be working as a freelancer in the Bay – so if you want to send work my way.. πŸ™‚ And, I will be have more time to focus on my duties as a Mommy to the best little boys anyone could ever ask for!!

Here’s a little Hampton Roads Show photo trip down memory lane…

I Survived “The Stack”

stack

On my show, we have thing game called, “The Stack”…it’s basically like a big Jenga Tower with wood block and you want to pull one out, place it on top and NOT be the one to knock it down! So for the past 3 weeks, we’ve been asking our guests to pull from it and take turns…and every day for the past week,we though tit was gonna go! I often go in on my co-host cuz he is kind obsessive with this thing! haha! Anyway, today was a snow day and we didn’t have many guests and I got called out to pull one…. I wasn’t sure it was gonna happen, BUT… I DID IT!!! Whew!! Watch an encore of my performance below!!! πŸ˜‰

Trivia Crack and ME

trivia crack

I had never even heard of “Trivia Crack” before the other day. It’s an online game, app, etc… Google Play lists it as:

Trivia Crack is the international smash hit game that pits friend against friend in different categories to determine who has the most trivia knowledge.

Okay, so the reason I am even mentioning this is because one of my friends apparently plays this and the other day a question about yours truly came up in the “entertainment” category! Imagine that…me a trivia question! haha

Anyway, she was amused by it and sent me a screen shot (BELOW). And — I’m happy to report she did answer that correctly. So, I guess this makes it official..I’m famous, right!?!? πŸ˜‰
