When you visit my website Aubrey Up Close chances are you have encountered my “video spokesperson” …. you know, the little Aubrey who pops up and starts talking to welcome you to my site!?!? I can’t tell you how many times people have asked how I did that, or they tell me it ’scared’ them & that their PC speakers were up loud and …there I was!! LOL My niece and nephew, Ella and Dante, make their Mom play it over and over every time she visits my blog to see “Auntie Aubrey!” You can probably see the play icon on the bottom left corner of your screen now. Well, that is just my creative way to welcome my online visitors LIVE… I’ve got a different version On The Flipside too!
The video is shot on a “green screen” and then my image/video is coded for my website template and voila! Lots of companies are now using this type of “technology” to reach out to clients and greet them with a more personal connection… I work with a company called VSP to record these intros, so you never know where I may just “pop up!”
Anyhow, just thought I’d offer some insight about this since people ask all the time…pretty cool, huh?
Lastly, here’s my demo reel for being a video spokesperson…
If you’re interested in having me as a spokesperson on your site… or someone else (grrr! LOL), contact Rohan at VSP – http://www.videospokespeople.com He’s the BEST in the biz and be sure to tell him I sent you!!
I am SO HAPPY and PROUD to congratulate one of the newest members of the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush – RACHEL (#24)! I have been working with Rachel since February, after meeting her during the Miami Pro Dance Convention I coordinated for Going Pro Entertainment. Following that successful event, she enlisted my one on one consultation services to fine tune her dance, flexibility, appearance, interview skills, etc… ALL the details for her to be audition ready! Rachel is a Miami Beach native who decided to head to the Bay Area to pursue both her dance and career goals (she’s an MIT grad – Chemical Engineering). I LOVE success stories and hers is one of pure dedication, commitment and heart to reach her goal. She certainly earned this well-deserved opportunity!! I’ll have to put her on as a “Sideline Distraction: On The Flipside” soon!
Once upon a time when I lived and worked in Phoenix, I was a host/reporter for a Friday Night High School (Football) Sports show called “Friday Night Fever.” Every week I would cover one of the ‘marquee’ high school football games and also do a feature segment on a standout student athlete…which I hand selected from dozens of nominations that would pour in!
Well, a couple weeks ago while I had Sports Center running in the background, a name and story caught my ear…that of Arizona State Univ. wrestler Anthony Robles…and I just knew he was one of my ’student spotlight” segments from 2005! Anyhow, this past weekend he became an NCAA champ and I just want to say I had him years before ESPN picked it up! LOL Really though, I love a story with heart, a person who strives for their goals, does whatever it takes to become the best at what they do and simply does not give up until they find a way to success! Well, it was evident in him 6 years ago, and the fact that he has had to overcome an extra obstacle makes his story all the more admirable. CONGRATULATIONS to Anthony on his latest achievement!
Anyhow, I dug deep in the tape archives, fired up the VCR and uploaded my Anthony Robles segment from when he was starting his senior year at Mesa High… Watch the flashback video below….
My friend invited me to Zumba class last night at Equinox gym in Coral Gables for a special taping of The Ellen Show with a secret celeb…. Well, lo and behold, the “secret” celeb was none other than Miami HEAT star LeBron James! Here he is with me and the girls…
Seriously, I have never taken Zumba before and it was a fun and sweaty work out…you get as good of a workout from it as you put into it! So sweaty me was pretty surprised to see #6 walk in…good times! He even stayed behind to do some “moves” with us…haha Check out the video clips.
Now the actual segment he came in for, had something to do with “Vitamin Water Zero”…and he surprised one of Ellen’s writers, Amy…and did this crazy taste test. I’m sort of like “background atmosphere” in these clips..so don’t blink, but I’m in a black “Equinox” shirt and off white yoga pants…sort of a few rows back..and my hair is off my face…let’s play “Where’s Aubrey?” GO!!
So yeah, probably the most interesting group exercise class I have taken in a loooooong time!! ZUMBA! #fitnessfirst
On The Flipside: Episode 28 is set in Cancun! This edition features Super Bowl 45 parties in Dallas, The Jarvis Green Foundation, the Florida Panthers Ice Dancers and a quick look at some of the sights I visited in Cancun!!
The Official music video for Jae Millz ft. Chris Brown is (finally) here!! One of the many hats I wear is as a manager to Young Money artist Jae Millz, so I shifted into PRODUCER mode to get this video done. It’s a really fun video, that I think is so refreshing in the music/rap/hIp hop game… The “Dead Presidents” (face-paint) theme is taken from thE movie and also Millz’ same name mixtape released over the summer where the Green Gobblin track first appeared. The song will now be the first single off his forth-coming debut album, “Nothing Is Promised,” slated to release next summer. Everything was pretty much shot on green screen with the exception of the opening (alley) scene. There are lots of fun visuals and it’s definitely a song you want to move to and this pairing works well with CB doing his dance thing and RAPPING, while Millz adds his Harlem-bred talent! Check it out, let me know what you think… Next stop is a red carpet awards show! FOREVERMILLZ.COM

I had the GREAT opportunity to be on CNN Newsroom AM this morning with anchor, Tony Harris. They invited me on to talk sports and we discussed the HEAT and Brett Favre’s streak ending…
If you missed it LIVE, of course I’ve got a clip.. Hopefully they invite me back!
I just edited my final episode of On The Flipside for 2010! It’s been another great year, slowed down a bit, but definitely had fun putting all this great content together and thankful for everyone who helps me get it done!! On this episode, I used the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami as my backdrop (hence 305) and we’ve got highlights from Juwan Howard’s “Juice Foundation” fashion show launch, the ribbon-cutting for Baltimore Ravens Ray Lewis new real estate endeavor, then the Miami Dolphins have gone to the dogs! Actually some of the players posed with their dogs for a (charity) calendar… plus we go to the Sucka Free to profile 49ers Gold Rush member Jasmin… Press play below!!
