Pacquiao Wins!

Last night Las Vegas was painted with “Pinoy Pride.”  Manny Pacquiao dominated Oscar De La Hoya from the opening bell and won with a TKO.  This is a really BIG deal in the Filipino community.  I’m sure the celebration in the Philippines is far from over…and no doubt, Filipino-Americans are beaming in the victory too, with a renewed sense of pride in our heritage!  I’ve always told people it is very different to be Filipino born in the States…  My Dad has an extremely stong affection for his native country, one I don’t quite get, since I’m not from there, but if there’s one thing we Filipino’s do collectively…it’s support our own!  Congrats Pacman and thanks for giving us that “CHAMPION” shine!

Touch Trend

I started noticing the trend of more and more tech gadgets and stuff being “touch” oriented…so I thought, this would make a GREAT story! So, I turned to my good buddy (and fellow SJSU Update News Alum) CNET’s Brian Tong for a little assistance! We’re such a great team!

The Sexiest Man Alive!

Here’s more of my interview with Hugh Jackman…People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive!” Notice how he says MY NAME in one of his responses! So here’s a behind the scenes story. I interviewed him at maybe 10am, each reporter gets about 5 minutes to do the interview and then another comes in, so it’s a big round robin of people… Anyway, later in the day, I’d say about 3pm, he gets onto the elevator with me (as I was headed down to the lobby), and he’s like, “Aubrey, right?” I was so impressed he remembered my name!
