ANEIROS Vehicle Child Seat System

Repost from 53 Weeks

My youngest son and I recently played the “starring” roles in a video created for a crowd funding campaign. The project seeking funding is a vehicle child safety seat called “ANEIROS.” All too often we hear about (preventable) tragedies where a child is mistakenly left behind in a hot car, and ends up losing their life as a result of vehicular heat stroke… Well, the ANIEROS is designed to save those children. It effectively integrates with a vehicles alarm and electrical wiring, giving it the capability to alert a parent or caretaker of a forgotten child, activating the cars alarm, triggering the air condition system to cool down an overheating child, and much more. The system can control and activate the car’s lights, ignition, air conditioner, alarm and door locks.

In the video, Isaiah and I “acted out” everyday scenes to show how the child seat system would work IF a parent or caregiver happened to forget a quiet or sleeping child in the car. It’s easy to think it would never happen to you…but I’m sure the families who have suffered this tragic fate, never imagined it happening to them either. The ANEIROS has a full US patent and its creator needs funding help, to further develop it and get it on the market, and start saving lives. So, I encourage you to please watch the video and visit the Indiegogo crowd funding page >> http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aneiros-vehicle-child-seat-system If anything, please help spread the word to your social networks about this unique child seat system, if it can save just one child’s life, then it’s worth having on the market! The ANEIROS Indiegogo campaign runs now through April 18, 2014.

BABY SPRINKLE

Yesterday I was BLESSED to be the recipient of a BABY SPRINKLE! What is a “sprinkle” you ask? Well, it’s a celebration to help Mom welcome baby #2 or #3 and so on. Basically you’re not showering the Mother with gifts, but rather sprinkling her with a few items!!! So, since I am having my second child, I already have many baby items and wasn’t anticipating any “hoopla” to accompany the impending arrival of baby #2…however my dear friend Constance aka “The Crafty Reporter,” insisted that we needed to celebrate!

Well, I was just so flattered and she really went all out to make this intimate gathering of my Miami “family” really special — I am SO THANKFUL! She crafted lots of handmade cuteness with the dessert table and decor….I am SO IN LOVE with her crocheted crowns for my “Little Prince.” If you want to see some of her other yarn by design creations you can visit her website for Huggabeans. She is so good at making the most adorable baby hats, blankets, etc… 🙂

Every touch, from the printed menu’s, goodie bags, color scheme, fancy treats and all the extra attention to detail, really show and the sprinkle was nothing short of FABULOUS! Take a look at these photos of the “spread!”

And — of course I can’t forget the lovely women who attended the sprinkle…THANK YOU for coming and sprinkling me and baby #2 with LOVE!!

FYI — The venue for my Sprinkle was City Hall the Restaurant in downtown Miami…and the food was extra YUMMY!

Now it’s countdown time til my “Little Prince” arrives!

Yummy In My Tummy

For all the Mom’s…a fresh, organic “baby” food maker in South Florida. It’s called “Yummy in my Tummy.” A friend of mine, Heather, tipped me off to it, since she loves it for her young son and it’s really one of a kind! The “Stage 3” Chile, Tomato Basil Pasta and Cous Cous dishes definitely took me by suprise!
