Hola CABO!

I took my travels international this past weekend for one of my long-time girlfriend’s wedding celebration. I was one of her chosen bridesmaids and it was exciting to head south for this destination wedding…my first time going to CABO, MEXICO! There was so much going on, I didn’t take too many pictures on my personal camera, but here’s what I have…

So, I met up with fellow bridesmaid Carrie at LAX to fly into SJD, and after slight haggling with the “timeshare solicitors” at the airport, we arrived at the wedding venue hotel, Sirena Del Mar. It’s a pretty new hotel, under a year old (across from Home Depot) on the way to downtown Cabo. Aside from the lovely newness of the resort, we were greeted by a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean!

Imagine having THIS as your backdrop for a wedding ceremony!?!? NICE!!

A popular balcony/patio feature was the hammock..see Carrie and Amaya enjoying…

Then it was time to get ready…Maureen and I suited up in our dresses…I’m just tickled by the photo of our dresses on the hangers!!!

Then, I did Flower Girl Amaya’s hair… she loved it!

Maureen helped Riza get dressed while Jay (http://www.balanceandcontrast.com) took pics…

And — Carrie handled Riza’s, makeup… WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BRIDE!

And the rest is history…CONGRATS to Riza and Ced…

So, let me end this post with my last image of Cabo from the Pueblo Bonito Rose resort…King Neptune! ha

Okay, I won’t leave you like that, but here’s me on the beach in Cabo saying, “Adios!”

Viva Las Vegas

My final stop during an August-long travel spree for work and play ended in Vegas for Riza’s bachelorette party! The party actually started Thursday night, but due to my work obligations I joined in Friday and as soon as I landed we headed to JET Nightclub at the Mirage.

It was great seeing the ESSJ crew, especially Maureen, Riza and Rowena, who I have known for more than half of my life.

Val, Rose and Carrie were also rockin’ with the best! πŸ˜‰

The girls from LA LA Land came out to celebrate too…. πŸ™‚

I will also take credit for coaxing the bride-to-be to dance on the stage!!

Then, we somehow started club hopping on our way to XS and ended up in “King Inc.” for a while, where we met an artist by the name of H*Wood

He has a song called Could It Be You (Punk Rock Chick) – honestly , I’d never hard the song before, but Rowena knew all the words! lol

The next day we headed to Wet Republic at MGM.

It is a CRAZY poolside party out there….

Then, after the girls left I stayed another day to hang out with some of my favorite Kiddo’s…Jayme, Jaylin and Jayson. Sunday after church we went to Hooters…and I had to educate them that “Hooters” refers to the noise an owl makes… πŸ˜€

And because I am so “inspirational” to the younger generations…Jayme decided to dress like her Auntie Aubrey!

And before I headed back to the airport, no Vegas trip is complete without stopping by Town Square!
