Nike Sportswear – Spring/Summer ’09

Nike recently invited me to their Nike South penthouse offices to check out their new 2009 Spring/Summer Nike Sportwear Collection! A lot of the inspiration this time around came from their ACG products…and they’ve introduced a whole lot of new items for women, so you don’t have to buy “small” men’s sizes anymore! The Nike Sportswear line is more for hanging out and lounging, looking cute and sporty, rather than for performance and working out, but all the same technology and careful design goes into all of Nike’s stuff! Trust me…it’s a serious science for them. There are so many great patterns, colors and styles…and when it comes to the kicks, they’ve got new twists (i.e. flywire and fabrics) on the classics. There’s the dunk, skinny dunk, Air Max, AF-1 and the one that brought back Jr. High memories…the Nike Cortez! 🙂

Yummy In My Tummy

For all the Mom’s…a fresh, organic “baby” food maker in South Florida. It’s called “Yummy in my Tummy.” A friend of mine, Heather, tipped me off to it, since she loves it for her young son and it’s really one of a kind! The “Stage 3” Chile, Tomato Basil Pasta and Cous Cous dishes definitely took me by suprise!

Trends that keep Coming Back

Trends that keep coming back…I took a look at some of women’s most popular styles that don’t ever seem to go away >>> safe buys!! It’s the distressed denim, bold/dangling earrings and platform sandals…as well as animal prints, babydolls and skinny jeans! Thanks to Bloomie’s and Downtown Divas!

Love My Lashes

I am all about eyelashes, and when I heard the FDA approved a new “eyelash” drug called Latisse…I thought about all the beautifying products out there to enhance them. It’s true, you can never have enough when it comes to eyelashes! Now if I could only get mine to curl perfectly…

Travel Style

Since I’m such a “jet-setter,” it was only appropriate for me to do a segment on travel. I love luggage with 360 wheels, and I never buy bags in black, so I can easily spot my stuff. SHUBI was brought to my attention by a friend in NYC, and are super cute…you can find them at http://shubilove.com. If you want to shop, shubi’s are 15% off (til the end of January 2009) with promo code: DECODRIVE …and shout out to “Michael Antonio Footwear” for providing the fashionable kicks for the Shubi spot! The travel jewels are from Susan Hanover Designs…I actually found them, reading the SPIRIT Magazine on a Southwest flight! She also makes special bracelets as part of JOIN RED, to help fight AIDS in Africa!

Touch Trend

I started noticing the trend of more and more tech gadgets and stuff being “touch” oriented…so I thought, this would make a GREAT story! So, I turned to my good buddy (and fellow SJSU Update News Alum) CNET’s Brian Tong for a little assistance! We’re such a great team!
