HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADE

Happy Birthday to my little (big) sister Adrienne! Yes, I’m older but in life she is noticeably “taller.” 29 years ago, 6 days before my birthday, she ended my run as an only child… and she’s been following me around ever since! j/k Her September 23 birthday falls on the Virgo/Libra cusp, so when I don’t want to claim her as a fellow Libra…I excuse her for having Virgo tendencies! lol

I am so thankful and blessed to have Adrienne as a sister. She is smart, kind & wise… AND no matter what, she is there for me. She is also a very talented designer and I love to brag about her whenever possible!

So, if you’re in SF, be sure to check out posters ADE designed for “Where Art Lives.” The life size posters are up all along Market Street. You can also see more of her work on her website http://adrienneaquino.com

Here we are circa 1984 with our baby sister Alison…

Happy Birthday Adrienne!! I LOVE YOU!! xoxo

SOLID GOLD

My sister Adrienne is such a cutie pie! The other week for Bay to Breakers, her and her friend followed a “Solid Gold” theme and participated in the festiviites. Gotta love it!!

When they first started planning the outing, she showed me the costume “pieces” she found to put her get up together and I think she worked it!!

And finally, one of the gals put together a video highlight reel..watch here…I don’t see my sister’s face, but I’d know her dancing booty anywhere!! 😉

My sister the set designer…

Check out this cool music video my sister helped do the “set design” for…

Adrienne says, “It was a lot of fun…shot in still frames. I made the “Southern Comfort” bottle, lemonade stand, light bulb, and sun to name a few.” You can learn more about my talented sister and see some of her design work at http://adrienneaquino.com

Bulldozer – The Invisible Cities (Official Music Video)

(Director: Melissa Hung. Director of Photography: Seng Chen)
A toy bulldozer with an affinity for whiskey and records heads out for a day at the beach with friends only to find it closed. Oh no! What to do?!

Sister on “Display”

My very talented sister Adrienne of Ade will have her work on display during the “Global Lives Project” exhibition in San Francisco beginning next week. Adrienne has collaborated on the project by designing and contributing the exhibit’s environmental graphics! You can see her work by visiting Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco where the non-profit “Global Lives Project” will be on display February 26 through June 20, 2010.
