OTF: 305

I just edited my final episode of On The Flipside for 2010! It’s been another great year, slowed down a bit, but definitely had fun putting all this great content together and thankful for everyone who helps me get it done!! On this episode, I used the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami as my backdrop (hence 305) and we’ve got highlights from Juwan Howard’s “Juice Foundation” fashion show launch, the ribbon-cutting for Baltimore Ravens Ray Lewis new real estate endeavor, then the Miami Dolphins have gone to the dogs! Actually some of the players posed with their dogs for a (charity) calendar… plus we go to the Sucka Free to profile 49ers Gold Rush member Jasmin… Press play below!!

C + K Wedding

Yet another wedding…LOL I spent the past weekend back in the Bay Area for my good friend Carol’s wedding! I’ve known Carol since college and she even traveled with me to Australia years ago to visit my sister when she was studying abroad. Anyhow, she married her longtime boyfriend Ken in Gilroy and we went to a fabulous resort called Cordevalle for the reception…great setting and good food!

You may recall a few posts back when I detailed our Vegas adventure for her bachelorette party…well the fun continued at the wedding!

From the church to the reception…

I LUV these ladies…

…always posing for the camera…

BTW…this is my favorite photo from the wedding…taken by yours truly…

πŸ™‚ HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROSELLE!!! xoxo

BTS: GREEN GOBBLIN

A video project I have been heavily involved in is the “Green Gobblin” music video by my artist, Jae Millz featuring Chris Brown. The video was shot recently in Miami, while I was in Mexico…so there was a lot of careful pre-production that went into it, to minimize my phone time in Mexico! lol BTW, it’s GOBBLIN with two “b’s” because as Jae said….there’s 2 “Goblins” in the video…him and CB! Oh isn’t he SOOO creative!?!?

At any rate, now the video is in post, being edited, and I’m overseeing/supervising all the cuts, effects, etc… This is my first hands-on experience with a “music” video, but I’m finding that my editing know-how as well as (news) writing, reporting, producing background is actually helping a lot. And — I just know what I want, how I want it and definitely what I don’t like!! So, along with a few other key opinions (director, Jae, other producers and editor) this is going to be ONE HELLUVA MUSIC VIDEO!! CB is rapping, we’ve got the Dead Pres theme, Mack Maine makes a cameo and we linked up with Music Matrix for a video remix contest!! The Official GREEN GOBBLIN music video is set to premiere on http://musicmatrix.com on Dec 15, and we’ve also got a South Beach launch party in the works! Be on the lookout, you’ll be sure to see this vid popping up everywhere and getting a strong buzz! Red Carpet..here I come!! πŸ™‚ In the meantime, here’s some behind the scenes videos and photos.

Thank you’s to everyone on Team Millzy: Director Antwan Smith, Producers Sway Mendez & Remy Pierre, Makeup Artist Kimi, Stylist Brie, my models Jovana and Carin and everyone else who’s supported and helped make this video a reality. And I can’t forget our sponsors – Fever, Nuvo, Ciroc and Music Matrix! Green Gobblin…December 15!!!!

GOBBLE GOBBLE

For my 2010 Thanksgiving Holiday I stayed in Miami and my friend Cat made the trek down from Jacksonville to spend it with me…and I whipped up a little somethin’ somethin’…nothing too fancy!

Then, I took Cat to the American Airlines Arena…

…where we watched the Miami HEAT take on the 76ers.

Then we had a Saturday “food adventure!” It started off with a ladies brunch for Dara’s (early) birthday at Balans in Brickell!!

We of course had to bring the bday girl cupcakes for the special occassion!

Now, I have to bust Cat out because she wanted to order TWO DOZEN for the 5 of us…I know Mischa’s cupcakes are YUMMY, but please, practice restraint!! lol

After brunch we gathered around the Christmas tree for a photo… notice we all have open-toed shoes to get in the “holiday” spirit! ONLY IN MIAMI!
(l-r) that’s Kimi, Rene, Dara, me and Cat

And somehow Me, Kimi and Cat kept the “eating party going because we met up with our friend Phil and stuffed ourselves a little more!

We headed back to Brickell and Sushi Siam, where it started with some Sake…

SUSHI…

and this deep-fried banana dessert with a “chocolate fence” … πŸ™‚

Moral of the weekend..I am ever SO THANKFUL for great friends and good food!!

P.S. Cat and I ended the weekend with a Sunday brunch too before she drove back north..but we did not document that food!
